Support is available for families living in the London Borough of Bexley with children aged 0–5 years who are experiencing financial hardship or struggling to afford essential items. Eligibility may include families receiving benefits, facing temporary crisis, low income, homelessness, domestic abuse, or other challenging circumstances.

WHO CAN MAKE A REFERRAL?

We accept referrals from both frontline professionals and individuals directly. We work in partnership with frontline professionals, including health professionals such as midwives and health visitors, refuge officers, parenting practitioners, and social services, who refer families they are supporting.

CAN I SELF REFER?

Yes, families can self-refer by completing the referral form. Eligibility includes families receiving benefits, facing temporary crisis, low income, homelessness, domestic abuse, or other challenging circumstances.

I AM A FRONTLINE PROFESSIONAL - HOW DO I REFER A FAMILY?

Frontline professionals can refer families by completing the referral form. We work with professionals including social workers, midwives, health visitors, schools, refuge workers, parenting practitioners, and other support agencies working with families experiencing financial hardship.

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE A REFERRAL HAS BEEN PUT IN?

Each referral is considered individually based on the family’s circumstances and the availability of items.

A member of the team will be in contact with the beneficiary, where they will find out their needs. If we are able to support them we will invite them on a Wednesday to pick up the items between 12pm and 2 pm. At the same time they will be most welcome to join us for a free hot meal.

Where DO you get your Supplies?

All good quality items are donated by members of New Community Church, local parents and families who have heard about us through word of mouth, family and friends.

do you accept DONATIONS?

We only accept good-quality second-hand items. If you have items to donate, please contact us first at lovebexley@newcom.church and let us know what you would like to donate. We will then let you know whether we are currently accepting donations.
